The flower buttons are made from sabra, a lustrous, silk like fibre thinner than hair, that is derived from cactus. Spinning the threads, weaving and knotting these beautiful little buttons is an intricate process performed by highly skilled village women, an ancient craft creating a precious hand made textile treasure.
