Royal Mint. 1897 Victoria Diamond Jubilee Large Bronze Medal #sherborne Lettering: FLarge bronze medal issued for Queen Victorias Diamond Jubilee in 1897, The obverse features the veiled Old Head effigy of Victoria, commissioned and produced in 1893 by Thomas Brock. The reverse features first coinage portrait of Victoria, the Young Head which is the work of William Wyon and was first used in 1838. 56mm. 70g. Extremely fine. This medal is presented in its original red leather and velvet case, which shows some signs or handling.
